Wine Bike Tour… my legs kill

So early rise for us all, as we woke up as the sun was rising and headed to meet our tour leader for the bike tour. Now, this is not your typical bike tour, we could taste wines, and juices throughout the day. We drove outside of Vienna to the wine country, and started our tour from there. We could try 3 different wines/juices at this stop, and we walked to the station to get our bikes.DSCN3110Ready for my bike ride!!! (mine had an awesome horn, gotta love it)DSCN3108DSCN3109Church in the middle of townDSCN3123DSCN3125While riding the bike through a townMan, oh man, the scenery was too amazing. Riding bikes out on the street, free, and breathing in the fresh air. The view was amazing and the ride made me miss riding my bike around my neighborhood when I was younger. We stopped at a small family owned winery to try more wines/juices, and eat lunch (which is like a dinner meal for them). But it was delicious either way.DSCN3127 Good foodDSCN3130 DeliciousThen we headed down to the beach(Danube) to relax for a bit before heading to this adorable little town for our final stop, and got to try these amazing chocolates. Then a few of us decided to walk up this hill to go visit the site where they captured and held captive, King Richard(King LionHeart) (look him up the story is hilarious and actually a good deal about Austrian history). Can I say the scene was to die for though once we hit the top?!DSCN3137Country sideDSCN3141View from the top of the mountainDSCN3144View from the capture siteDSCN3146Such a beautiful view (worth the 15 minute walk up a steep hill)We ended the tour back at our hostel around 6 p.m., what a long day that was, but was a great experience to remember.Tomorrow…. the flea market!!
