Eiffel Tower… MERCI
Today we made our way to the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. But first, we had to make our way through the most confusing metro of this whole trip. Now, I know its our last day and I haven’t talked about the metro system in Paris, but seriously, Paris is huge and don’t take it lightly. They have about 14 different lines, plus 5 letter lines that go on the outskirts of the city. You have to go on one line, stop at another stop that has the line you want to get to, and go on that for a few more stops. Let me tell you, getting to the Arch and back to our place was a long ride. Which leads me to the reason I ranted, I read the map wrong today and we got off about 4 stops later than we needed to, and I figured we could walk since I could see the Arch from the map and where we were. (BAD IDEA) It was about an hour walk through their corporate world on the outskirts of town. It was a long walk and our feet were tired in the end but… we finally made it and went underneath the shade to relax our feet.I do have to say, I’m going to need a good pedicure and foot message when I get home from all this walking….On to the Eiffel Tower!!! It was more of an amazing sight than I could have imagined. I do wish I could have seen it at night, but I’ll settle for this amazing sight during the day. It was a beautiful work of art, Gustave Eiffel was a genius. Amy and I decided to walk up to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower, because taking a tram to the top just wasn’t in our forecast for the day. It was beautiful on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, I can’t believe the view. You could see everything from up there. I’ll have to point out what was what from the pictures I took out but it was breathtaking. Also, I bit depressing to know that we had so much more to see in Paris and didn’t even make a dent in it.We made it!!!!MeUnderneath workView from the 1st floorCute roof topsArch de Triomphe in the distanceSomething important is within this pictureLouvre behind the treesI got a sandwich on the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tower. Just to say I did, and also I was a bit hungry too ha Our last day in Paris and my almost last day in Europe, I head back to Vienna for the day and get ready for my flight home. I’m going to miss Europe, but I’m also very glad I got this opportunity to experience it. I’ve missed home and I’m sure it misses me too. I’ve had a ton of fun, and lots of memories to last me a lifetime from this trip.Au revoir,Ciao, Sbohem, Auf Wiedersehen, Bye.Its been fun world… Its been fun.
