So much Tuscany Under the Sun

Today was our first adventure in Florence and sight seeing on our own. Might I say it was interesting to say the least, but fun. We made it into the Duomo in a timely fashion, and what a beautiful sight that was to see. I’m glad to have seen such a beautiful man made sight.DSCN3601DSCN3610DSCN3620DSCN3623We headed to the Medici Chapels afterwards and I was just in “awe” as to what Michelangelo did with his hands. He was a true artist. I wish I could have taken pictures, but listen when I say, it was astounding. Michelangelo, sir, you were one of the greatest.DSCN3626DSCN3627 Famous Medici Anna Maria Luisa de Medici. Michelangelo worked for them and was commissioned to build the families burial tombs. You may know some of the famous ones, called, Day and Night, and Dawn and Dusk… Just look up Medici Chapels, you shall see what I saw today. Then we headed down some side streets to find food, and surprise!! We found food that was not pizza, or pasta, and it was actually good!! I am so happy to not have pizza or pasta again, believe me when I say, Pizza and Pasta gets old for sure.It was a long day of walking around, but tomorrow will be just the same and even more exciting for I see the “David”!!!!Ciao!
